Alexander Mikhaylov was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 1957. He graduated from Republican Artistic School named after P.P. Benkov in 1977.

Artist was engaged in easel graphic and painting as well as in book design and illustration. Alexander participated in exhibitions, art shows and Biennale around the world.

His works are in different collections and in permanent collection of the Embassy of the United States of America in Uzbekistan. Since the 2002 Alexander is a member of Artist's Union of Uzbekistan. Artist Alexander Mikhaylov is occupied himself with teaching in Children's School of Music and Fine Arts.
